GlowScan Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GlowScan mobile application ("GlowScan", "the app", "we", "us"), built by Fourcents. By downloading or using GlowScan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

GlowScan is not medical advice. GlowScan is an educational and lifestyle app. Its skin scores, "skin age" estimates, ingredient breakdowns, routine suggestions, and AskGlow answers are for general informational purposes only. They are not a medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice, and must not be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition or disease. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or physician for any medical concern, before changing your skincare, and before acting on anything in the app. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read in GlowScan.

1. What GlowScan does

GlowScan analyzes photos of your skin on your device using Apple's Vision framework, looks up product ingredients from public databases, shows a UV index for your area, and provides general skincare guidance and routines. Results are visual estimates and general education, not clinical measurements.

2. Eligibility & acceptable use

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or use the app with a parent or guardian's supervision.
You agree to use GlowScan only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, scrape, or misuse the app or its content.
You are responsible for the photos you capture and for using the app safely (for example, not while driving).

3. Subscriptions & billing

GlowScan offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, GlowScan Pro (billed monthly or yearly), which unlocks premium features. Subscriptions may begin with a free trial.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate shown at purchase.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
All purchases are processed by Apple. We never see or store your card or billing details. Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms.

4. Your data

Your privacy is covered by our Privacy Policy. In short: your face and skin photos are analyzed on your device and are not sent to us or any third party. You can delete all your GlowScan data at any time from Profile → Legal → "Delete my profile + all data", or by uninstalling the app.

5. Intellectual property

GlowScan, its design, content, and software are owned by Fourcents and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app. You receive no other rights.

6. Disclaimers

GlowScan is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results, estimates, ingredient data, UV data, or suggestions are accurate, complete, or suitable for you. Skincare outcomes vary by person.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fourcents is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any skin reaction, injury, loss, or harm arising from your use of GlowScan or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
