TestRing Terms of Service

By using TestRing, you agree to these terms. TestRing is operated by Fourcents.

1. What TestRing does

TestRing is a marketplace that connects mobile app developers with real human beta testers for Google Play Closed Testing. We do not guarantee that testing on TestRing satisfies any specific store policy — that is your responsibility. We do guarantee real human engagement from verified testers.

2. For developers

• You must own or have rights to publish the apps you list.
• Your closed-testing track must comply with Google Play policies.
• You must not list apps that violate any law or Google's content policy.
• Payment is non-refundable once testers are matched. Pre-match cancellation refunds 100% to platform credit.
• You may not contact testers outside the platform or solicit them off-platform.

3. For testers

• You must use real, personally-owned Google accounts. No emulators, no fake accounts, no automation tools.
• You must genuinely engage with the app you're testing — install it, open it, and provide honest feedback. Faked engagement results in immediate ban and forfeiture of pending payouts.
• You must keep app contents confidential. Information disclosed during a test is covered by an implicit NDA — do not share screenshots, descriptions, or feedback outside the platform.
• You agree to receive payouts only via the methods we offer (Stripe Connect Express, PayPal). You are responsible for declaring income per your country's tax law.
• You may not run automated install/uninstall scripts, use VPNs to mask your location, or operate multiple accounts.

4. Fraud, abuse, and termination

We can suspend or ban any account for: fraud, automation, account-stuffing, fake reviews, IP/VPN abuse, NDA violation, or any conduct that risks our standing with payment processors or Google. Banned testers forfeit any unpaid balance.

5. Payouts and taxes

Testers earn payouts in USD. Minimum payout threshold is $10. Payouts are processed weekly via Stripe Connect Express (which handles 1099-NEC reporting in the US and equivalents elsewhere). For testers in markets Stripe Connect doesn't serve, we use PayPal Payouts. Testers are independent contractors, not employees.

6. Liability

TestRing is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or third-party actions (including Google's enforcement decisions). Our maximum liability is the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

7. Changes

We may update these terms with reasonable notice (email + posting here). Continued use after changes means you accept them.
