My reading seems off.
Tare works best with a full-body photo, neutral pose, even lighting, and a fitted outfit (or shirtless). If your read seems off, recapture — and check that your height and weight in Settings are accurate, since the formula is anchored on those.
How accurate is Tare?
The Navy method has ±3-4% accuracy versus DEXA in published studies. We report a confidence band on every reading. We are not a substitute for clinical body composition measurement.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Tare on your iPhone. Annual plans include a 7-day free trial; cancel before it ends to avoid charges.
Do you store my photos?
No. Photos are uploaded for analysis and discarded once the reading is computed (typically < 30 seconds). We do not retain photos and we do not use them to train models.
