1. What UMA is
UMA is a baby tracking and parenting companion app for iOS. It helps parents log feeds, sleep, diapers, and other events, and provides AI-generated insights and content. UMA is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
2. Your account
You may use UMA without an account (guest mode). Signing in with Apple enables family sync and cross-device backup. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID. You must be at least 18 years old to use UMA.
3. Your data
You own your data. UMA stores tracker events, journal entries, and photos on your device. When you use family sync, data is transmitted to our server to enable sharing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Subscriptions
UMA offers a free tier and a premium subscription (UMA Premium). Subscriptions are billed through Apple and managed in your Apple ID settings. Prices are displayed in the app before purchase. Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
5. AI features
UMA uses artificial intelligence for voice transcription, insights, cry analysis, and content generation. AI outputs are informational and may contain errors. Do not rely on AI features for medical decisions. The Cry Decoder suggests possible causes — it is not a diagnostic tool. Always consult a healthcare provider for medical concerns.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use UMA for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with UMA's services
- Use automated tools to access UMA's APIs without authorization
- Share content through UMA that violates any third party's rights
7. Disclaimer
UMA is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of AI outputs, or suitability for any particular purpose. UMA is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fourcents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of UMA.
9. Account deletion
You can delete your UMA account at any time from Family → Delete UMA account. This permanently removes your account from our servers. Local data can be cleared from Family → Start over.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
